| I have to laugh at some of the righteous Republicans who shout we cannot have activist judges on the court, when in just one case of their hypocrisy in San Diego the good "Christian" Republicans have announce they on a mission from God to unseat any judge that does not agree with their "Christian Values".
Any organization that wants judges to subscribe to a certain political party or certain value system or certain way of ruling threatens the independence of the judiciary. What the "Christian Republicans" want is a rubber stamp of their beliefs, not a fair judgment by the facts.
Republicans talk about getting the government out of people's business. But when it's bedroom business or women's body businessess, an infatuation with preceived iniquity overcomes them. Their business has become the business of judging other people's business. The self-righteously righter-than-right Republicans work hard to deny equal rights to same-sex relationships. Apparently certina people's happiness makes them miserable.
Jon Kyl, a wonderful unforgiving bigot, stated that over 90 percent of what Planned Parenthood does is abortions. He was close, but he was off by 87 percent. Later he recanted saying "his remark was not intended to be a factual statement. Of course, who would ever think a Republican would ever think of making a factual statement.
The Republian Party talks a lot about "freedom." But freedom doesn't mean a lack of responsiblitiy for the interests of you neighbors. A Republian think if you get sick and can't afford the care you need, that's your problem.
Are You Ashamed Of Being A Republican? Yes, there are a few good honest sensible Republicans. But a lot of bad apples in the basket spoils the entire basket. Maybe it is time to become a Democrate! |
